Our Story

Matt was working in the Applebee's I had decided to transfer to from Pennsylvania.

We met my first day at work, and as corny as it may sound, the moment i saw him i knew that there was something amazing about this man.

We started off as friends, learning about who each of us were and both of us felt a strong attraction and connection to one another. Ultimately we started dating and falling in love.

Our lives seemed to have shared a lot of similarities which created such a strong bond between us. Both of us had suffered heartache and have had tragedy in our lives that strengthened us and shaped us into the people we are today.

The Epiphany

Not long after we began dating, I lost my father to a senseless car accident.

My world was turned upside down and I was thousands of miles away from everyone in my family and those people who loved me the most.

My blessing during that dreadful day was that I had Matthew. In that moment of such pain and heartache came another bond that would again strengthen and deepen our relationship with each other.

Matthew had lost his mother when he was a teenager. He knew how my soul ached and how broken my heart was, infact as I look back and remember it seemed he was the only person who could completely understand my heart.

Matt never left my side that day. He held on and wouldn't let me go. He wiped away my tears. He comforted me in a way that I believe no other person could.

It wasn't very long before I realized that this would be the man I would spend my life loving.

The Rest is History

Soon, we became inseperable. My love for him so deep and strong, that I soon could not imagine my life without him.

Time began to pass, and yet we still feel as if we met each other yesterday. The love we have for each other has grown, yet at the same time still feels so fresh and new that its hard to believe we've shared a life for almost 9 years.

Every day we are thankful that we've found each other. Amazed that our individual choices and the paths they led us down brought us together to share a lifetime of love, happiness and friendship.

May 24, 2008 was the day we declared that love and friendship and our commitment and devotion to each other.

We always said we would get married in Las Vegas!

When we finally decided to plan our wedding, we looked at each other and said one word...VEGAS!

The biggest problem was picking somewhere to get married. Not being able to go and see each of the thousands of chapels Las Vegas has to offer, we had to go purely on instinct and our own memories of the many chapels we had passed on our previous trips to Vegas.

Then of course there was always the decision to be nuts and have Elvis marry us, or a Star Trek wedding, or another themed event which naturally Vegas has plenty to offer.

Ultimately we chose The Little Church of the West, and I could not have been happier with the decision.

Everything was damn close to perfect and the only thing that went somewhat wrong was that we were supposed to say our own vows. Honestly, I'm glad in a way that we didn't because I am not sure I would've been able to get through them without turning into a puddle of tears and emotion.

The Vows

Matt's Vows

I could have never imagined that i would have been so lucky to have met anyone like you.
Now that i have, i can't ever imagine living without you.

You are not just a companion or a lover, you truly are my best friend.

I promise to always be there with you, through all of the good times and the bad, and i promise that you alone will always have my heart.

For simply and truly I love you.

Terri's Vows

I remember the very first day we met and something inside of me knew that you would be the one to capture my heart

Every step that i've taken in my life has led me to this day and to you.

You've seen me at my best and loved me for it.
You've seen me at my worst and loved me through it.
You've filled all of the empty places inside of me i never knew i had.

Through the good times in our lives and through the bad. I will honor and cherish you above all others, and I promise to give you all that i am and all that i have to give.

My Amazing Mom

I can't even begin to thank my Mother Carrol for everything she's done for me. Not only throughout my life, but for this wedding.

She made my dreams come true.

She is my hero, my mentor and one of the most amazing women I know.

I Love You Mom!

We'd like to thank our families for always loving, supporting and believing in us.
Thank you to each of you including our friends who came to Vegas to share our big day.

It truly was unforgettable!

~Love~ Matt & Terri
